About as simple and straightforward as you can get - Start with Only Love Can Break Your Heart as inspiration (hope Neil doesn't sue us), add a little Big Star-ish phase guitar, soulful female vocals and a star turn from Nashville session pedal steel player Dakota Holden. You get something that summons up the almost painful beauty of the summer night sky and the struggle of getting through the days knowing something is lost and you won't ever get it back. The last verse was never sung or recorded - forgot it existed until adding the lyrics here.
